Jack's Travel Bug Game

CONGRATULATIONS!

You have discovered Jack’s Travel Bug Game! The goal of this Travel Bug is to travel the world, giving a little bit of amusement to Geocachers everywhere.

Play the game, and feel free to log all visits. Occasional pictures of its travels will always be welcome. Hang onto this as long as necessary to play, but try to keep it moving. If you are not going to be able to play, just move it to the nearest convenient cache.

HOW TO PLAY THE SHORT VERSION

There are 2 versions of the game. Both require the use of the included 8-sided die.

1. Roll the 8 sided die.
2. Move it to a cache (or visit a cache) in that direction.
3. Repeat until you find a home for the Travel Bug.
4. Have fun!


ROLL RESULT
1 = North
2 = Northeast
3 = East
4 = Southeast
5 = South
6 = Southwest
7 = West
8 = Northwest




HOW TO PLAY THE FULL VERSION

There are 2 versions of the game. Both require the use of the included 8-sided die.

1. Roll the 8 sided die.
2. Using the list below, follow the instructions for the number that you rolled.
3. Move on to another cache before rolling again.
4. Have fun!

Remember rule 4! If for any reason you can’t complete any of the steps, or if you just want to do something different, feel free to re-roll! Nobody else will know.

ROLL RESULT

1) Flip this page over and play the short version of this game for 3 cache visits (log them!) before coming back to this side and rolling again.

2) In your next cache log, post a picture of this travel bug visiting that cache.

3) In your next cache log, sneakily use a word from the list below (roll die) without mentioning this travel bug in any way.

4) 5 Mile / 8 KM Rule - Play and visit caches in the meantime, but you must ensure that you leave this Travel Bug in a cache at least 5 miles / 8 KM away from where you originally found it.

5) As soon as possible, drop this off in your favorite local cache. Leave a short comment on the travel bug log about why you picked this cache.

6) Compose your next log / Using haiku syllables / With five, seven, five. (Honestly, you can probably do a lot better than this one. I was just making a point ha ha!)

7) Game over! Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Leave this at the next possible cache. (Or re-roll. Nobody will know. Cheater.)

8) HOT POTATO - Do not leave this in a cache. Instead, pass it directly to another cacher as soon as possible. Feel free to play the short version and log visits in the meantime.
